A rain-swollen lake. A small town depending on fishing revenues. A rivulet of water seeping through the rocks beneath an earthen dam. These are the suspense-generating ingredients of Irwin Allen's production of Flood, another enthralling survival saga from the "master of disaster" who's specialized in unleasing nature's fury on movie audiences the world over.

A helicopter pilot (Robert Culp) and a youngster (Eric Olson) are the first to discover the dam's leaky secret. But the Brownsville town leaders refuse to face the dran on the town's troubled economy that draining the lake would cause. A high-and-dry solution is not in the cards.
